3/6/11 - HDR

Trinity Cathedral, Cleveland, 1907

Sometimes it takes the assistance of someone else to point out a shot to you. I've seen this cathedral many times, but it never crossed my mind to capture it. Was on a run today and my friend suggested I give it a go. Turned out well I think.

Thought I'd take a night shot of St. Theodosius as well. I think the domes are such a neat subject to capture.

1/15/2011 - St. Theodosius Russian Orthodox Cathedral(1911)

Located in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland, I've been meaning to take a photo of the domes for a while now.

The church was the location for the wedding scenes(interior and exterior) in the 1978 film, The Deer Hunter with Robert De Niro, Christopher Walken, and Meryl Streep.

Got lucky and found the entire scene from the movie which shows the exterior and interior of the church with great exterior shots at the beginning and at 4:23.

Being a Clevelander, I find the city's movie history very cool.
